Not a large bar, but definitely makes up for it in look, feel and ambiance. It's a cool spot connected to a surf shop with a laid back decor and vibe. Perfectly named melding the classy office expectation with a chill beach feel. If you're looking for a classy place with a great beer [and wine] selection, good food and a place to relax with a special friend, a group of friends or even alone, this is definitely the spot. Go for a drinks... stay for food... and more drinks. I had the pork quesadilla and was amazing! Definitely a spot to visit over and over.

The rice bowl with crawfish etouffee was decent. I imagine people would love the extensive beer selection, but after walking two hours in the heat, I was sticking with water today. I'm not normally very picky about service, but the server seemed a little distracted and I was taken aback a bit. She didn't really make eye contact, or smile. The young kid who brought me my food gave me a nice smile, though, which was nice. Super props for showing two World Cup games on screen, though.

I was hungry. The food was delicious. Had the Pork Rice Bowl. The flavors blended so well together. The guacamole was fresh made.

Dog food. This place has a good waitstaff and a wide selection of alcoholic beverages but the food is TERRIBLE. The pork vampiro tastes like cheap canned tuna. It was cat food on a tortilla. I thought it was tuna, bf said it is pork. The waitress also confirmed that it was pork. What a let down. I had the portobello sandwich. The mushroom did not have enough of the water cooked out. The bread became soggy and I couldn't eat it. The mushroom was so hot and the leaking liquid burned my finger. It was probably pre-grilled and microwaved before serving. Please try to remove all the water content or cook it down to reduce the likely hood of soggy bread.

I had the meatloaf sandwich and it was awesome! Hearty, delicious, and satisfying. The cucumber salad on the side was very refreshing. There's really a lot of great and freshly made food served here. Plus, $10 gets you a bottomless mimosa. Go ahead, test the limits!!

Small little place, but very chill. Good beer selection. I got the grilled ham & cheese...decent, but nothing exciting at all. Cucumber salad was good though.

Beneath the dim lights and soft but ample helping of '80's rock, delectable dishes destined to deliver are prepared and served every day. If you're fortunate enough to happen in over the weekend between 8am and 1pm, you'll be offered a selection of some of the best breakfast this side of the Brooks Bridge. The Boardroom is infinitely more than just a bar, it is a locally owned love affair with original recipes, craft beer and hospitality. Don't you dare drive by without stopping, stepping in and sampling the splendor.

I've been to the boardroom twice and it's a cute little place. They have a good beer selection and the food is pretty tasty. The only thing keeping me from coming back is the service. Both times there has only been one server for all seven tables! He's running around doing what he can but there is too much going on. I don't want to chase down the waiter so I can get a second beer.

I love this place! It's clean, everyone is really nice, food is great, and they have a great beer & wine selection. Try the nachos!

I was really unhappy with the service at this bar. It was like they had never had a packed house before. Bartenders ignored customers way too long, even leaving a full bar at one point. When they were there, they worked on several different orders at once, leaving me and other customers waiting. I placed my order for a beer flight and then waited 10 minutes for the bartender to help several other customers. The food is pretty good, so if you want to try this place out, make sure you come when it's not busy. A cheese plate took about 20 minutes to reach our table.

  • Sara R.

Laid back. Great music selection. Relaxed bartenders. On Sundays they have bottomless Mimosas from 11am - either 1pm or 2pm for only $10 & the glasses they serve them in are HUGE!

What a great place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy an ice cold beer. Our waitress was prompt, polite, and very knowledgeable. She checked in on us several times throughout the meal and ensured we were comfortable. The head cook even came out to see how we were doing. Definitely recommend this place for those in downtown Fort Walton Beach, Fl.

Did you read my earlier review? Well I feel COMPELLED to write an update. Over the months, this place has become my go-to spot for meeting first dates off dating apps. This is so for the following reasons: Location: It's about two steps from where I live in the heart of downtown Fort Walton. This is ideal for two reasons. One, it's in a central location so no one can really complain about it being out of the way. Two, if you come face to face with a catfish, it's easy to just head back home since I'm just steps away. Low initial investment of effort is key to any location you choose to vet out internet suitors so you can make for a quick escape with minimal damage if necessary. On the other hand, if you do hit it off, there's tons of places to go in the area for more drinking or hookah smoking or pre-partying at my place. Ambiance: I couldn't be happier with the decor and ambiance of this place if I created it myself. Clean, simple, flattering lighting, quiet enough for conversation but not so quiet that it's awkwardly just the two of you. It's also tasteful and modern, which is certainly lacking in these parts. Most of my dates have looked around the interior nodding their heads while proclaiming approval, giving me brownie points for good taste, which I, of course, have in abundance, as y'all already know which is why you're diligently reading these sage words as we speak. Menu: Awesome drink and food menu. Love their wine, and there's plenty of beer for your beer drinking admirers. You can tell a lot about a man by the beer he chooses. Watch and learn. Food has never disappointed. The guacamole, as I raved about before, is fantastic. I tried one of their pork bowls and was swept off my feet. The best thing about this menu is that it's very casual, which is perfect for a first internet date because there's none of the huge commitment that comes with four course meals of steak and lobster and the waitstaff are not going to look at you weird if you don't order food and just go for a drink. It's easy, noncommittal, and reasonably priced. Often guys hear the name Boardroom and they're nervously thinking wallet destroyer, but that's not the case at all. Appetizers are around $5-$10 and entrees around $10 so it's easy on the wallet and avoids creating the impression that you're trying to take advantage of the guy. A big shoutout to Boardroom, for providing me with the perfect vetting ground for internet wooers. As the wise Fabolous once sang in 2007, "I'm good all by myself, but baby, you, you make me better."

I tried The Boardroom for the first time today and I am glad I did! After debating over the menu (there were quite a few things that sounded great) I got the smokin' secretary. It was delicious. Decent prices and a friendly and attentive bartender. It would probably be 4 1/2 or even 5 stars but they were out of both Budweiser and to-go boxes. All in all it is a great little pub and I will be going back to eat there again.

Great little bar off the beaten track in downtown Fort Walton..It's kind of got a Speakeasy Vibe to it because there is no entrance to it on 98 as you have to enter the bar from a side door that faces the parking lot..what also gives off the Speakeasy Feel is that it is located in the back of a Surf Shop that fronts 98...the small space the bar is located in used to be the surf shop's storage and shipping area...I always say the five things that make a perfect bar are a great beer selection..good clientele..good music not played at a million decibels...an old style popcorn machine where you can get as many bowls of salty popcorn as you want and a real shuffleboard table game with the pucks and talcum powder..well this place has 4 of them!!..come on guys you have to find a shuffleboard game somewhere in the area or on E-Bay...this is a beer and wine only place with a very small selection of light foods....beer is the real emphasis here though with around 12 taps pouring Craft beers and then close to a 100 in a bottle..if you are looking for the same boring offerings from BMC this is definitely not your place...they also have 2 TV's to watch the game but sports is really not the emphasis here as the times I've been there no ones really watching..this is more just a chill place to drink some beer..talk to people and listen to good music....definitely a recommended stop if you can find the secret way in and know the password to get in!!..this week it was "Blue Horseshoe loves Annicot Steel":)..holding off on the 5th Star until they get a Shuffleboard Game or have 5 cent Cigar City Draft Night

Kind of hard to find but worth the hunt. We drove by it a couple times before we found it and I am so glad we did. Soooo many beers to choose from and an impressive wine selection as well. The staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food isn't bar food but gourmet style entrees including vegetarian fare. I think we found our new local, I look forward to next weekend.

Interesting little place that I gave a shot recently. This place is remotely small, so don't expect any hostess to seat you as you come in. We were told by the bartender/server to sit wherever, but throughout our dinner I saw about 15 people come and go as they walked in confused as what to expect, as we all do at a new place, and eventually left after no acknowledgment. The food was fair, but the items are simple and hard to screw up. I noticed through the door to the kitchen that the chips on the nachos are standard tostitos, not anything special homemade. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were WAY to casual in their demeanor and dialogue. I heard probably at least 2 dozen f-bombs throughout my dinner from those classy ladies. Beer selection was acceptable, but the service on this visit will lead me to better options on the strip like Tap Works, which has a much more substantial beer list (60 on tap). Sure, the massive pork nachos here are good, but they're also really basic and something that a drunk person could easily make at 2am after returning home from a real pub.
